Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Coast
A chopper flying above a popular California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Footage posted on social media capture the aircraft beginning to twirl above the shoreline then descending near the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
