The New England Patriots tied their longest winning run since the Brady period as they defeated AFC East opponents the Jets 27-14 in professional football
Rookie Henderson was the standout with three touchdowns as the New England squad claimed an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since legendary quarterback Brady's last year with the team in 2019

The Jets had gone in front at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields scoring a short rushing score to conclude the Jets' opening drive
But the New England responded in the second period as the rookie ran in two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7
"That was a key occasion for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," Maye said of Henderson. "He aims to be outstanding."
Fields found Metchie toward the end of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales kicked a pair of field goals in the final period as the Patriots sealed the victory
